Challenge: The Client’s desire was to create a clear vision of the opportunity with which to plan lands immediately adjacent to the Town of Cochrane. This required skilled thought leadership for what is a complex and and transitional area between the immediate adjacency to new communities, future regional river valley parks, rural ranching, and future industrial gravel operations.

Result: A master concept was created to integrate new neighborhoods, careful consideration of future urban parks and river valley pathways, major rail line and topographic constraints, traditional and non-traditional residential concepts, commercial and business park opportunities all the while considering urban to rural transitions. The master plan was presented to the Town of Cochrane to advocate for inclusion in future growth planning, to illustrate benefits to the Town and Rocky View County , and to guide short term decisions on other landowner issues regarding pipelines and infrastructure rights of way.
