Situated was founded by David Allen after 20 years as a land development professional. David is passionate about solving real estate business challenges and an experienced development leader. David has been accountable for real estate business P&L, asset management, brand, sales & marketing, government relations, operations, joint ventures, and team performance as a manager and executive leader. David developed and executed strategic plans for $500M of real estate assets and has extensive knowledge of North American development practices.
Bela Syal
Planning & Strategy
Bela Syal has over 25 years of experience in leading the visioning and planning for some of the largest, best-selling and innovative communities in Calgary, navigating through the multifaceted municipal approval process with a proven track record of success. Combined with her Executive MBA, Bela has a comprehensive understanding of land development for both large and small scale residential, commercial and industrial real estate. Bela's services include planning, design and strategy for policy plans, land use, outline and neighbourhood plans, growth management business plans and advocacy.
Bob Clark
Development & Strategy
Bob has been a leader and influencer in the Development Industry for decades as a builder, an engineering consultant and a land developer. Bob holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Calgary and a diploma from the Banff School of Advanced Management. Bob has been involved in all facets of the land development business from strategic land acquisitions to the planning, design and execution of 19 master planned communities. Bob has worked extensively with the development industry, municipal and provincial authorities to influence policy and decision making at both the Provincial and Municipal level.
Jeanie Gartly
Planning & Design
Jeanie Gartly holds over 30 years’ experience in urban design, community planning, heritage conservation, and architecture. She has specialized in downtown planning, established communities, and redevelopment site master planning with a strong comprehensive design experience. Jeanie project managed policy planning, land use, and outline plan/subdivision approvals for over 12 years with the City of Calgary and the City of Medicine Hat. Jeanie has been influential in leading internal processes for award winning Council-approved urban projects such as Currie Barracks, Garrison Woods, Calgary Centre City Plan, and the Beltine Area Redevelopment Plan. Jeanie holds a Masters in Architecture from Montana State University and Masters in Environmental Design-Planning from the University of Calgary.
Sue Paton
Planning & Design
Sue is an urban planner and a highly skilled subdivision designer with a comprehensive understanding of development constraints. Her experience in the visioning and design of new communities spans four decades and her portfolio includes a diverse range of developments in urban and rural settings across western Canada. Her experience has focused primarily on visioning concepts, local and regional policy plans, land use applications, neighbourhood design and approvals. Her comprehensive understanding of the regulatory process and her experience in resolving complex planning issues brings a positive and solution-oriented approach to development projects and policy initiatives.
Neelima Siddhartha
Urban Design
Neelima has 20 years of experience as an International Architect, delivering high value projects integrating Urban design and Architecture, and providing designs, drawings and graphic illustrations. She led Architectural consultancy as a Principal Architect through complete development lifecycle of medium to large scale projects averaging $40M. Her projects included architectural consultancy & design for automobile dealerships of Audi, Volkswagen, Ford, Hyundai, and other international brands. She has substantial expertise in designing commercial and educational buildings, Industrial master plans and community development plans. Neelima’s recent collaborative work on bringing back Main street project challenge received recognition from RAIC & CUI in 2020.
